Brian Jacques (1939–2011).

Noted children’s fantasy author Brian Jacques died on Feb. 7th of a heart attack.  He was 71 years old.  Jacques is the creator of Redwall Abbey–a medieval abbey inhabited by mice including the famous mouse, Martin the Warrior.  His stories are noteworthy for their wholesome images and their unambiguous structure in which the forces of good and evil clash.  May he find peace with God.
